Corenia Smith, MAPL

Chicago-born and Minnesota-raised. Corenia supports CAL initiatives in project management, convening, and facilitation.  Corenia is a strategist and organizer with experience in issue advocacy, community and relational organizing, and management of large-scale campaigns. She is committed to advancing progressive values for democracy, reproductive justice, and collective liberation. Over the years, Corenia has been recognized for building strategic partnerships and coalitions to mobilize and engage our communities to inform the laws that govern us, vote for change, increase collective health and wellbeing and provide practical support for communities. She possesses strong  organizational development skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in order to accomplish objectives with creativity that build and sustain people-centered organizations.

Corenia is a nurse, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Reproductive Justice and Nonprofit leadership and a Master’s in Advocacy and Political Leadership.
